March 30 (Bloomberg) — In 1982, Simon Hantai, an acclaimed Hungarian-French artist, disappeared from view. By then, he had represented France in the Venice Biennale and shown at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and Pierre Matisse’s New York gallery.
