The point is to be aware of karma (i.e. law of cause and effect) and to discriminate what action leads to unwanted result and which action leads to pleasant/wanted result. all phenomena are totally pure, without characteristics therefore there are no good or bad things, just those which should be avoided and those which should be accepted and followed. if you plant the seed of goodness, what will ripen is goodness. you cannot expect that out of the evil seed goodness is what will be born.
