Certifying Prophets During The End Of Time

God gives us minds to think and we should use our minds to figure out which prophets are true and which prophets are false. A good rule of thumb is mentioned in Deuteronomy Chapter 13.

Should we follow a prophet simply because he makes a prediction and the prediction happens to come true? Absolutely not!

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, whereof he spoke unto you, saying, Let’s go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them; You shall not hearken unto the words of that prophet…” (Verses 1-3).

Prophets of modern times may not be so blatant as to openly worship other gods. However, they may be anti-nomian. They may be against the law of God, the Ten Commandments.

“You shall walk after the Eternal your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cleave unto him” (Verse 4). Obedience to God is the key for knowing if a prophet is true.

How Can We Bind The Commandments On Our Fingers?

In the days ahead of us, the last days just before the great and dreadful day of the Lord, there will be a prophet coming in the spirit of the prophet Elijah.

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse” (Malachi 4:5-6).

During the last three and a half years of man’s evil rule of this world, there will be 2 witnesses prophesying.

“And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth” (Revelation 11:3).

During the last days our sons and daughters will also prophesy (Acts 2:17 and Joel 2:28). There is a parallel between what happened in the first century AD and what will happen in the last days, sons and daughters prophesying, old men dreaming dreams, young men seeing visions.

After the golden calf was finished, Aaron announced: “Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord” (Exodus 32:5). A righteous prophet might have asked, “Which Lord?”, since Baal also means Lord. The same could be asked in today’s world in which commercial religions are customized for today’s consciousnesses. It is specifically the way of Cain (Jude 1:11), substituting man’s own religion in place of the religion of God. Cain felt it wasn’t important enough to learn what God really expected. The same is true today.

“Just A Closer Walk With Thee” is the name of a somewhat popular song. Unfortunately, the way in which a close walk with God is outlined in scripture is not generally well received in today’s world. It also, is remembered only as a lovely song without application (Ezekiel 33:32).

Among other things, the end time Elijah will be here to oppose the end time Jezebel (Revelation 2:20). She is not just corrupting people who are already corrupt. She is teaching and seducing God’s “… servants to commit fornication {porneuo} and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” That Elijah will draw the difference between the 2 Lords, same as the first Elijah. The word “Elijah” is “El” is “Yah”, God is Yah (short for YHVH). He will be hated by the God-hating media as he turns the hearts of the children to their fathers and the hearts of the fathers to their children (Malachi 4:5-6).

We can certainly look forward to a time when our teachers will not be removed into a corner any more (Isaiah 30:20), idolatry will be throw out and there will be no more Canaanites (Merchants) in the house of the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 14:21).
