My friend loaned me the book and CD. She couldn’t use it anymore, as after her third attempt at meditation with the CD, she had a

frightening experience with Kundalini rising. Energy was travelling up her spine in a frightening manner. A trusted advisor suggested that meditation is best learned with an experienced Yoga master if you have any signs of Kundalini rising. This friend had recently been attuned for Reiki level two. Please read up about the awakening of Kundalini and its usual symptoms, so that you will recognize the signs if they occur to you!

Sorry, this guy’s voice gave me the creeps. He sounds like a preacher. Who can meditate without the ability to respond positively to the leading voice.

  3. Ali H. Ahmad says:

i found this product very good for beginners cuz itstarts from scratch about the history of meditation leading to the practical side.

  4. kathyz says:

This CD was very uninformative and provided almost no information about the topic it was supposed to address, which is meditation. The speaker is very preachy and rambles on and on about unrelated topics. Very unpleasant voice to listen to, very boring. Big waste of money.

Sorry, but this is ok I guess if you want to do a lot of reading and listening to repititive talking. This guy obviously has recorded (at low audio quality) a class he has taught many times before, and it is quite tedious. The jokes are not very funny, he has a nasal voice, and you can hear the students in his class on the cd (laughing at this not so funny comments). There’s no music and then chimes some bell or something, which is very distracting. The book is very pretty if you want it to be a piece of coffee table dust, but I would reccommend a very calm audio-musical CD versus this CD (try Stephen Halpern or a number of other good yoga/ meditationg music and /or nature cds). A much better, simpler, to the point book is Meditation for Busy People Barnes and Noble.
