That’s partly correct: Kung Fu simply means “achievement through hard work” and doesn’t necessarily refer to martial arts.

?? talks too much and learn a lot of forms. ?? imitates and changes a lot and simplifies to live. You go to school for ?? and run wild with ??.

  3. super1commenter says:

Wu Shu (???means martial arts. It is just in Chinese language.
Kung Fu (??) means Chinese martial arts, martial arts invented by the Chinese

sorry to say it but u have no deeper understanding of the baduanjin let alone the movement sections and inhaling and exhaling properly. I recommend you to watch shifu Yanzi and shifu yanlie’s qi gong dvd’s or go to the temple

  6. qiankundanuoyi1 says:

it’s wushu. Kungfu does not mean martial arts.

  7. healingreiki says:

Very nice demonstration. I will do this exercise every day from now on. Does anyone knows the e-mail of sifu Bruce Wen?

  8. horsefiend says:

Also, “wu shu” translates as “martial arts”; “kung fu” (or “gong fu”) translates as “practice over time”.

  9. horsefiend says:

From my understanding, this is one of the forms of moving meditation exercises that the Indian monk Bodhidharma brought to the Chan Buddhists of China, and this helped to form what is Shaolin Kung Fu.

  10. flawlessprodigy says:

shaolin monks dont practice wushu, they have thier own for of martial arts

  11. Sanningsministeriet says:

This qi gong is “the real deal”, many styles and schools use it for circulation, health and joint exercise. But “True Shaolin Kung Fu” is hard to define, many styles were practiced at shaolin, some brought in and some created there, many just passed through and evolved there. Whats actually Shaolin and what isnt is very strict, but very messy and complicated to tell. Check out monks Shi De Jian, Shi De Yang and Shi Yan Ming for different, but still true, shaolin approaches, see for yourself 🙂

Now shut up and go masturbate to some Jackie Chan movies.

Shifu Yan Lei is a 34th generation qigong master from the shaolin temple in china. He has given permission to teach what he learnt at the temple and has written an outstanding book – in English – teaching the original Buddhist Eight treasures qigong form. I highly recommend it!
