  1. Have you ever tried to take a yoga class and felt like an alien in the room? Have you ever been so frustrated in a yoga class because the positions seem impossible? Have you ever felt like you were the only one in the room who “doesn’t get it?” Well, I have many times, but not since I began taking yoga with teacher Diana Lang. Diana has an extraordinary gift for teaching backed by her expertise in meditation and spiritual practice. Her gifts as a teacher allow her to make everyone in her classes feel like they belong. Her emphasis on breath and the practice of yoga make us all feel as though we can accept ourselves as we are, where we are. There is a sense of peace that accompanies such practice and Diana’s keen ability to share her energetic force with her class, truly makes her yoga classes unlike any other experience I have had. I know I would not be alone when I say that Diana’s beauty and grace fills the room with such a light, that we are all able to see, through her, the true principles of yoga, mediation, and spiritual practice. There are no “absolutes” or “musts” in Diana’s class. She asks that we meet the pose where we are, that we don’t force our bodies to move in ways in which they are not able. Diana reminds us that our breath is the “bridge between the soul and the self”

We are blessed to have a teacher with such natural insight and genuine compassion. In addition to her dedication to her students, her innate beauty and light give us an extra bonus, as she shares her vast knowledge with us about the practice of yoga. Anyone who knows Diana would agree that she is truly special with a unique gift of making all her students feel that there is hope and light–mentally, physically, and spiritually. What makes Diana Lang special? All you need to do is attend one her classes, and you will have the answer right away.

  2. Val Snider says:

The book is pretty and well written; however, the woman’s voice on the CD is so irritating to me that I can’t use it. There’s no use trying to meditate when you’re blood pressure is rising. Others may not have this problem.

  3. How simple is that?! Meditation is not some mysterious, hard to reach location…rather it is simply a matter of opening your mind to the possibility of calmness and love. Diana’s book is terrific for beginners who may fear that there is more to meditation than simply accepting yourself, deeply and completely. My favorite quote: “The breath is the bridge between the self and the soul…” Gentle, guided, steps to help you on the path. Lovely!

  4. J. Plaia says:

Diana Lang’s approach to meditation has an ease and beauty about it that is inspiring and makes meditation completely accessible for all. The Book/CD is an incredible tool for anyone who is new to meditation or has been meditating for years. The meditations are perfect to start or end your day with. I use this CD every day. And every time I listen to it, I discover something new. “Opening to Meditation” will open up a whole new world for you.

  5. Diana Lang changed my life – her cd is a wonderful introduction to meditation – I had never meditated before, did not think I could, but this exceptional book & cd set (along with her yoga classes) has changed everything. I highly reccomend her class, her book & the meditation cd.
