On Family Guy (I think), they had a CD to help you sleep– it was supposed to be “the sounds of nature” or something like that. When they played it- instead of hearing the leaves rustling in the wind, or the waves breaking in the ocean, you heard a grizzly bear attacking other animals, and other frightful sounds of nature.
This CD works A LOT better!
Well I thought this CD was a waste of my money. I found it strange that the last two “songs” on the CD were too soft to hear after the initial 30 minute hypnotic guide was done. Since I had it in my cd player I had to find my remote and turn it clear up which defeated the purpose of trying to relax and sleep, also the introduction didn’t need to be on the CD since it was already on the insert with the cd. After awhile I even found her voice to be irritating but that was probably because I still wasn’t asleep and had to replay it and then turn it up to hear the last two “songs”. Grrrr!
This CD is wonderful as a sleep aid. It’s better than medications, alcohol, etc. Bottom line: it works consistently.
The best word I can describe this CD with is WOW! I’m a bit of a conservative, so unfortunately I’m a bit obstinate when it comes to trying to new things, especially in the form of “non traditional” medicine. But seriously, I have tossed the sleeping pills away as this really wonderful cathartic CD has made a huge difference in my sleeping patterns. I have had trouble sleeping for quite some time now, as I expect a lot of people have due to the economic struggles we are all encountering, but somehow this CD has been able to permeate through mind and body allowing me to have full nights of sleep once again. Somehow the thoughts that keep my mind working 24/7 are calmed by Dr. Shapiro’s voice and the techniques she uses on the CD. If you are having trouble sleeping and want to learn how to keep the chatter out of your brain so you can sleep and recharge your battery, you should really give Sleep Solutions a try. I’m very happy, not too mention well rested, that I broke down and tried this CD. Thank you Dr. Shapiro.
I purchased The Calming Collection-Sleep Solutions for my 10 year old son. He hates it and so it’s of no use. BUT if he would listen to it, it would work. We both listened to it together and we were both asleep within 10 or 15 minutes. I’ll use it myself next time I can’t sleep.
