What is a Root Canal?

When you are told you need a root canal, it is generally because the nerve in your tooth has been damaged and is starting to die, or in some cases has slowly gone bad over time. This can happen due to decay in the tooth that has reached the nerve, or trauma from a blow to the tooth or in an accident where the tooth has been hit. Also sometimes a tooth can develop a crack that can reach the nerve and allow bacteria from your mouth to enter through the crack into the nerve and cause it to go bad. Too little growth hormone can be harmful, and too much can also be harmful. There is a certain range where people can benefit from growth hormone. Individuals who produce an excessive amount of growth hormone in their thirties can develop an enlarged forehead and hands; a condition known as acromegaly. Side Effects of Melatonin as Treatment for Insomnia

In response to darkness (as during the nighttime when we’re in bed), our body produces melatonin. This hormone, which is derived from serotonin (a neurotransmitter found in the brain and blood serum), is secreted by the pineal gland of the brain. This natural process of melatonin-secretion takes place especially during the night when lights are off. More than anything else, it is melatonin that induces us to sleep the moment we retire at night. During daytime, the production of melatonin is considerably lessened.
