How To Meditate At Work

Meditating at work is a popular idea as work is one of the most stressful situations that you can face on a daily basis.

Employees have to face a boss who may not be as understanding as they could be (they have their own pressures to deal with), annoying co-workers, computers that freeze and loses a large project or phone calls from customers. These problems can become overwhelming, which makes it important to find ways to meditate at work.

Meditation is one of the most popular ways to relax, unwind, and release some of the stress or pressure from the day.

It’s actually quite easy to find ways to do this at work, even if you only have a few minutes to spare.

Many traditionalists think that you need a specific room to meditate, but others believe that meditation is a state of mind, not a particular place. Those that feel this way can easily find ways to meditate while at work.

One of the easiest ways is to use a deep breathing technique. Couple this with some clear thinking and you should be able to unwind quickly and easily. While you probably don’t have the time to sit in a specific room, you can do the deep breathing and thinking exercises anywhere, even at your desk or on the way to the water cooler.

Simply sit back with your hands resting lightly on your knees, and take a few deep cleansing breaths. As you do so, count backwards from ten.

If you still feel tense or stressed, you can continue counting backwards from ten until your pulse slows, and your mind clears.

After doing this, you’ll feel much more relaxed, and ready to finish the rest of your day at work.
